From 1st December 2014, Indian government has allowed citizens of 43 countries to visit India without the hassle of standing in q for a visa. Now citizens of these 43 countries can apply online for a visa on arrival (VOA) for tourist and small business trip.
These 43 countries include US,Mexico, Brazil, Germany, Most of South East Asia excluding Malaysia, Japan, South Korea, Australia and New Zealand.
India which had just 6.5 million visitors visit it in 2012 hopes to touch 10 million visitors with this scheme. India currently has less tourist visits than compare to small countries such as Thailand and Malaysia despite having a rich and varied culture and environment compare to both south east Asian countries.
